Building Public Responsibility for Quality Public Schools
We work to get information about issues facing schools to a broad range of constituents—parents, students, voters, community members. We try to translate information about schools into formats that are accessible and easily understood so people can learn and act for quality schools. To achieve this, we:
- Collaborate with La Voz, a local bilingual community newspaper serving populations in seven different zip codes (circulation 12,400);
- Develop fact sheets about local education issues; and
- Engage community members in “Community Conversations”—community forums that allow stakeholders to sit down at the table together to strategize how to address the challenges our students face.
